PURPOSE: To prevent document feed errors by preventing occurrence of kickback of documents on a document output tray at the time of multiple transport of documents. CONSTITUTION: Documents P on a document output tray 5 are transported to feed parts 7, 7 in a multiple manner by means of a shutter 6 and are transported to a reeding part by means of document transport means. Then, they are discharged onto the tray 5. Until the first document is discharged to the tray 5 documents transported in a bundle condition are retained by the shutter 6, while at the time of discharging the documents the shutter is set back so as not to interrupt the documents. It is thus possible to prevent feed errors of documents caused by kickback at the time of multiple transport of documents P. |
