PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the devolatilizing capacity and treatment capacity of a devolatilizing extruder. SOLUTION: In a tandem type devolatilizing extruder wherein a raw material ejecting port of a first stage extruder is connected to the raw material supply port of a second extruder, the first stage extruder is used as a plasticizing machine 1 for plastitizing a solid resin raw material when a raw material is a solid resin and used as a heater 1a heating a soln.-like resin raw material in the case of a soln.-like resin. The first stage extruder is used as a dehydrator 2 dehydrating water using dehydration slits 10a, 10b in the case of a solid resin or rubber containing water or a mixed soln. of water and volatile impurities and the second stage extruder is used as a multistage extruder 3 having one stage vent on the upstream side of the raw material port 8 thereof and a multistage vent on the downstream thereof. |
