PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen-storing alloy, an alloy powder for a nickel hydrogen secondary battery negative electrode and the negative electrode for the same that have excellent alloy strength and have been restrained from becoming fine powders and have high corrosion resistance and high capacity when used for an electrode material. SOLUTION: This is an alloy as expressed in the formula, AxR1-x(MyNi1-y) n (A: Y, Gd, Tb, Dy, R: La, Ce, Pr, Nd, M: Co, Al, Mn, Fe, Cu, Zr, Ti, Mo, W, Bo, x, y, n: 0.01<=x<=0.1, 0.01<=y<=0.5, 4.9<=n<=5.4). The Vickers hardness (Hv) of the alloy is 900 kg/mm2 or more. Hydrogen-storing alloy, an alloy powder for nickel hydrogen secondary battery negative electrode using this alloy and a nickel hydrogen secondary battery negative electrode are provided by this. |
