PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To aim at cost reduction and improvement of workability. SOLUTION: A connector is equipped with a housing 10 and plural contact pins 12. In the housing 10, a flat space 14 of a square cross section is formed in a shaft direction. A terminal part 16d is installed at a flat cable 16 which is fitted and inserted into the flat space 14. A notched part 16e is formed in the cable 16. A protrusion 20 is installed on a lower side of counter face 14 in a thickness direction of the space 14. The protrusion 20 is consisted so that an elastic deformation is possible and the direction of deformation is forward and backward of the protrude direction. A distance d1 between a locking claw part 20a of the protrusion 20 and an upper counter face 14c is smaller than the thickness d2 of the cable 16 fixed and installed a rigid auxiliary plate 18 in rear face side. When a cable 16 is fitted and inserted into the flat space 14, the locking claw part 20a of the protrusion 20 is fitted to the notched part 16e of the cable 16 side.
