PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a deterioration of the electrical characteristics of a solid electrolytic capacitor and a deformation of the visual appearance of the capacitor due to a harsh thermal stress on to the capacitor used as a surface mounting component. SOLUTION: A solid electrolytic capacitor is constituted into a structure that a capacitor element provided with an anode member formed with a dielectric film is impregnated with a cathode electrolyte, the element is housed in an outer packaged case and is sealed in the packaged case and the outside of the packaged case is covered with a plastic film of a color (quantitatively, a color of a solar radiation reflectivity of 0.3 or higher and a long-wave reflectivity of 0.5 or higher), based on a white color.
