PURPOSE: A transflective LCD and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to reduce the number of mask by forming simultaneously two contact holes for exposing a drain electrode and a pixel electrode. CONSTITUTION: A TFT(Thin Film Transistor) is formed by a gate electrode, a gate insulating layer, a semiconductor layer, a source electrode, and a drain electrode. A protective layer(200) is formed on the TFT. A pixel electrode(202) is formed on the protective layer(200). The pixel electrode(202) is formed with a transparent conductive material. An interlayer dielectric(204) is deposited on the pixel electrode(202) and a substrate(1). Two contact holes(206,208) are formed by patterning the interlayer dielectric(204). A reflective electrode(210) including a transmission hole(212) is formed by filling the contact holes(206,208).
