CONTROL METHOD FOR MAGNETIC DISK DEVICE AND MAGNETIC DISK DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage of a magnetic head and a magnetic disk in performing loading and unloading operations of the head. SOLUTION: In the magnetic disk device provided with loading/unloading functions of the magnetic head with respect to the magnetic disk, damage of the magnetic disk device and the magnetic head is suppressed by preventing touch between them which is apt to be generated at loading/unloading times while performing loading/unloading within the range of revolving speeds N1 to N2 smaller than the rated revolving speed NO of the magnetic disk during a normal operating time when the R/W operations of data by the magnetic head to the magnetic disk are performed.
