<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for safely executing the canceling of a print job. SOLUTION: A print job protected by a password is managed so that the job can be canceled during image processing (310, 315) only when a proper confirmation password is detected related with a job cancel request (340). The canceling of the job can be executed through the control panel or web browser of a image forming device, and when the confirmation password is proper, the job in an image processing pipe line is canceled (345). This method for managing the print job in the image forming device such as printer comprises a step for detecting a cancel sign (325) indicating a signal for canceling the job during the image processing (310, 315) of the job in the image forming device and a step (345) for canceling the image processing of the job in reponse to the detecting only when the proper confirmation password sign is detected (340) related with the canceling sign. The image forming device and a related component such as a print driver or an integrated web server are constituted so that this method can be executed.</p> |
