PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discharge a main capacitor with an easy discharging operation forming conductive areas for discharge connected to the terminal of the main capacitor on the printed circuit board of an electronic flash device, detaching the outer packaging parts of a camera and then bringing a discharge pieces into contact with the discharge conductive areas. SOLUTION: A high voltage circuit FPC 62 to which an electronic flash light emitting part 16 is connected is arranged on the outer surface of a camera main body 60 which is exposed when the camera main body case 11 of a camera 10 is detached. A pair of conductive areas 66 for discharge connected to the terminal of the main capacitor 64 are formed in the high voltage circuit FPC 62, and then the main capacitor 64 is discharged by bringing the discharge pins 74 into contact with the discharge conductive areas 66.
