<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflection type liquid crystal display device in which a high opening ratio is obtained, even in a high-definition display and which is capable of performing a bright display. SOLUTION: In this display device, plural thin-film transistors 3 are formed on a substrate, and pixel electrodes 6 are connected respectively to these transistors. Moreover, counter electrodes 8 having respectively high reflectance are arranged at lower layers of the pixel electrodes 6 with insulating films. The pixel electrode 6 is composed of plural slender transparent electrode films and intervals among the transparent electrode films in the same pixel are made substantially equal to intervals among transparent electrode films, which are arranged respectively at edge parts in adjacent pixels. Furthermore, the device is made to have a constitution, in which the counter electrodes 8 are arranged among adjacent pixel electrodes 6 and the same voltage is applied to adjacent counter electrodes 8.</p> |
