PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of stable regulating the layer thickness of developer and having no trouble on the lowering of image density. SOLUTION: This developing device is equipped with a developer stirring means, a developing sleeve including a fixed magnet inside, and a turnable developer layer thickness regulating member where a magnet is disposed to be opposed to the developing sleeve. The device is constituted to dispose a magnetic member to be opposed to the magnet in the developing sleeve on an upstream side in the carrying direction of the developer whose layer thickness is regulated by the layer thickness regulating member and the developing sleeve and separate and carry the developer on the developing sleeve by the action of magnetic flux generated by the magnetic member so that the developer is stirred again. |
