<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling roll rotating number to realize a high accurate finishing measurements in rolling a pipe. SOLUTION: When rolling a seamless steel pipe by using a pipe rolling machine having plural stands, thickness in an outlet side of each stand is calculated, based on a condition formula of stress and distortion and the roll rotating number at each stand is calculated, regarding the thickness as the desired thickness. A frictional coefficient between a roll and a pipe at each stand in rolling each pipe is corrected and the roll rotating number at each foregoing stand is calculated, based on the corrected frictional coefficient. These calculations are characterized in this method for controlling the roll rotating number.</p> |
