Method in which a customer (1) applies to a vendor's web server (3) for a personal identification number (4) by filling in a form including his mobile phone number and paying a minimum amount. The details in the form are checked in a database and in the testing is successful the customer is sent a PIN or similar via e-mail. To finally authorize the account the user sends an SMS message to the web server, which provided mobile phone number and PIN match the database entries is authorized. The invention can be extended to include automatic generation of a transaction authorization number.
