PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyvinyl acetate-based emulsion composition excellent in storage stability. SOLUTION: This polyvinyl acetate-based emulsion composition comprises a polyvinyl acetate-based emulsion containing an acetoacetylated polyvinyl alcohol, and incorporated therewith, a specific aluminum silicate powder. The specific aluminum silicate powder has an average particle size of 0.1-25μm and contains 40-99 wt.% of SiO2 and 1-40 wt.% of Al2O3, provided that the total of the content of SiO2 and that of Al2O3 is not more than 100 wt.%. The aluminum silicate powder may contain bound water, or the like, in addition to SiO2 and Al2O3. When the aluminum silicate powder is added to the polyvinyl acetate-based emulsion, an appropriate amount of water can be added for the purpose of controlling the viscosity of the emulsion.
