PURPOSE: An upper hinge assembly structure for refrigerator is provided to allow refrigerator door to be easily attached/detached from the refrigerator body without using a tool. CONSTITUTION: An upper hinge assembly structure comprises a hinge support member(20) fixed onto a refrigerator body(50), and which has a plurality of support protrusions(22) protruded upward; an upper hinge(10) having an insertion hole(14) formed to correspond to the support protrusions of the hinge support member, and a hinge axis(12) serving as a center of rotation for opening/closing a refrigerator door(60); an elastic stopper(30) elastically coupled to the support protrusions at the upper surface of the upper hinge, and which prevents upward movement of the upper hinge. Each of the support protrusions has a stopper groove formed along the outer periphery of the support protrusion, at the height same as the height of the upper surface of the upper hinge.
