PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery which can suppress the output reduction also in case of a large current discharge. SOLUTION: The percentage of voids of a separator is made to be the same as or larger than the percentage of voids of a positive electrode mixture and the percentage of a negative electrode. The percentage of voids of the positive electrode mixture is preferable from 20% to 50%, the percentage of voids of the negative electrode mixture is preferable from 20% to 50%, and the percentage of voids of the separator is preferable from 20% to 60%. The electrolyte volume which infiltrates into a gap of interface between the separator and the electrode increases at the separator side, even in case of the large current discharge of a short time, and lithium ion is inserted/prolapsed from an active substance, and the lithium ion can be taken into the electrolyte in the separator with a small interface resistance. |
