PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound insulation material made of new, inexpensive, and readily available materials and easy to install, a method of manufacturing it, and a method of sound insulation, the sound insulator using as the source of recyclable materials the grounds of coffee beans used for drinking coffee and then disposed of as waste. SOLUTION: Roasted and ground coffee beans, or raw grounds obtained after coffee beans are roasted, ground and filtered with the addition of cold or hot water and after drinking of coffee, are used as first material, and a natural or synthetic resin adhesive serving as second material is mixed into the first material to obtain the sound insulator.
