PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the reproduction tracking servo and the focusing servo of information which never destroys recorded information recorded in a recording layer. SOLUTION: An information record reproducing and erasing device X including an information reproducing device for reproducing information from an optical recording medium 31 having a photochromic material containing recording layer 12 is provided with the housing part 100 of the medium 31, a light source for reproduction 33 for emitting light of a wavelength, which is not absorbed substantially, to the layer 12 as light 1 for reproducing information, an optical system 200 for irradiating the layer 12 of the medium 31 to be roused in the part 100 with the light L from the light source 33, and an information reading device 300 for reading recorded information recorded by varying of refraction as the variation of a reflected light quantity from the layer 12 generated by irradiating the layer 12 with the light L emitted from the light source 33 through the system 200. |
