PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a plug form falling off the receptacle at the time of connecting and detaching. SOLUTION: A multi-core connector comprises a plug housing (15), a plug (2) having a substrate (11) fitted at the bottom of it, a receptacle (3) having an opening in which plural connection pads are arranged on the top surface and plural contact pads are arranged at the bottom surface of a substrate and at which top side a plug is inserted, and a receptacle housing (17) having a metal contact piece holder at which bottom side plural metal contact pieces (54) are arranged. It further comprises a release lever (9) which is fitted on the mutually opposing walls in rotatable state and a hook (28) which is fitted rotatably to the wall with its top part locked to a groove formed at the lower side of the release lever; and a step portion (21) provided at the wall of the plug is temporally locked by a hook and the plug is prevented from moving upward and the temporary lock by the hook is released by the rotation of the release lever. |
