<p>Columns (2) support horizontal beam (1) that extends over whole length of folding machine. Stem (17.2) of series of actuators (17) is connected to beam using first elbow joint (17.3). Body of actuators (17.1) is attached to pressure trolley (16) using second elbow joint (17.4). When actuators are retracted, jaws (4, 5) are in contact with each other. When actuators are opening out, and because stem is attached to horizontal beam, center of articulation axis (17.3) has to stay at same height, and body of actuators can only travel in ascending direction, so as to tilt pressure trolley in same direction until trolley reaches its upper position, where jaws are separated from each other.</p> |
