摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnet component assembly which is suitable for the magnetic resonance imaging within liquid cryogen vessels of an open architecture superconducting magnet. SOLUTION: A magnet cartridge (100) for an open architecture superconducting magnet (10) includes an iron ring (40) sandwiched between two coil forms (42 and 44) and also radial and axial positioning devices (90, 98, 92 and 80 and) securing devices (60, 58 and 68) to position, secure and maintain the relative positions of coils (30 and 29) on the coil forms and the iron ring in the presence of a strong superconducting magnetic field generated by the superconducting operation of the magnet.
