PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems of conventional paper holders of this type provided with a magnet, a spring, whiskers of a resin or the like at an arm made of a metal that a holding force for posted paper decrease due to deformation with time cost is high due to an increased number of manufacturing steps and heavy weight feeling and chill feeling when contacted with a hand in winter are inevitable. SOLUTION: A slide type paper holder comprises a rectangular shape fixing unit (1) having a recessed inverted tapered groove (2) including a narrow opening in a longitudinal direction and a wide deep part, a rectangular shape slide (5) having a protruding inverted tapered part 6 engaged with the groove (2), a left end stopper (7) and a right end stopper (10) respectively mounted at a left end (3) and a right end (4) of the unit (1). In this case, this structure is made of a timber or a resin to provide durability and to eliminate feelings of the cold and the heavy weight when contacted with the hand.
