FIRE EXTINGUISHING AGENT AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCTION THEREOF

PURPOSE: A fire-extinguishing agent having excellent fire-extinguishing performance on fire of cooking oil is provided, which is harmless to the human body, inexpensive and simple in a manufacturing process and can be used for conventional potable fire extinguishers. CONSTITUTION: This fire-extinguishing agent is prepared by the following processes of: mixing water and ethylene glycol in a specified ratio; dissolving 7 to 15% by weight of potassium carbonate in the mixture; dissolving 8 to 20% by weight of citric acid therein; and adding 2.5 to 3% by weight of other components.
