PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a divided combustion chamber of an engine for easily performing installing work while securing sufficient installing strength of a base. SOLUTION: A main combustion chamber 5 is arranged in a cylinder 3. A cavity part 7 is arranged in a cylinder head 6 facing to this main combustion chamber 5. The divided combustion chamber 9 is formed by fitting the base 8 to the cavity part 7. The base 8 is constituted by including a barrel part 10 having an external shape of a columnar shape, a divided chamber recessed part 12 recessed in the barrel part 10 and a communicating hole 13 for communicating with the divided chamber recessed part 12 from the main combustion chamber 5. An outer peripheral surface of the base 8 is provided with a first press-in area 26 fitted in by prescribed bearing and a second press-in area 27 for coming into partial contact and coming into contact by bearing equal to or larger than the first press-in area 26.
