RECORD ERROR DISPLAY METHOD OF VIDEO CASSETTE RECORDER AND DEVICE THEREOF

PURPOSE: A record error display method of VCR(Video Cassette Recorder) and a device thereof are provided to prevent from performing record operation regardless of user's intention by letting the user know that a broadcasting signal is not received or recorded properly in receiving and recording digital broadcasting signal. CONSTITUTION: A tuner receives a digital broadcasting signal. A demodulation unit recovers the received signal into an MPEG(Moving Picture Expert Group) TP(Transport Packet) stream. A TP interface unit interfaces an MPEG TP signal output from a demultiplexor which receives the output of the demodulation unit with a record/playback unit. An SOP(Start Of Packet) detector detects an SOP of signal output from the TP interface unit. A PAT(Program Association Table) detector detects a PAT of data output from the TP interface unit. A record/playback detector detects a record medium of the record/playback unit. A main processor controls a display unit to let a user know the detection result according to the detection result of each detector.
