<p>Efficient and accurate marking of materials used in the construction of buildings, furniture, containers, cabinets, etc. is made possible by a unique marking implement adapted to be fitted onto the angular end hook portion of a measuring device such as a tape measure so that it lies directly below the exact end of the tape measure and provides an accurate indication of the end of the tape. It comprises a body (20) having first and second slots (30, 40) on opposite sides of a body portion. A first slot is adapted to receive an end hook and the second slot receives the marking material (50). With the marking means of the invention, a user may easily grasp the measuring device with one hand at a predetermined position and guide the marker along a reference edge to mark the material to be cut or processed.</p> |
