PURPOSE: To provide a production method of a cylindrical member having a spline groove and the cylindrical member having a spline groove capable of forming an outer peripheral part of the cylindrical member to an objective thickness against a plate thickness of a stock while conducting flow forming. CONSTITUTION: An outer penpheral part of a disk like blank stock 27 is plastucally deformed by pressing with a thickening roller 26 in a mandrel direction (arrow mark E direction), a thickness 27a thicker than a plate thickness t1 of the blank stock is formed to the outer peripheral part 7c, by pressing the thickness part with forming rollers 22, 23, 25, the outer peripheral part of the cylindrical member is integrally formed together with a spline groove 7e. By this method, an unnecessary thickness is not imparted to an other part, the member subjecting to high pressure to the outer peripheral part can produce the thickness t2 of the outer peripheral part from the stock thickness t1 without receiving much restriction, thus, production of the cylindrical member of an optimum shape is made possible. |
