PURPOSE: To provide a method of controlling termites by using a 5- carboxyanilide-bis-trifluoromethyl-thiazole compound for controlling the termite. CONSTITUTION: This method of controlling the termite comprises applying a termite-controlling composition which contains (a) a compound expressed by the formula (R is halogen, a 1-5C haloalkyl, a 1-5C haloalkoxyl, nitro, cyano, a pentahalosulfur, a halomethylthio, a haloethylthio, a 1-2C alkylsulfinyl, a 1-2C haloalkylsulfinyl, a 1-2C alkylsulfonyl or a 1-2C haloalkylsulfonyl; and n is 2 to 5), one of its salts or more, and (b) a chemically allowable carrier in an amount of effective dose to the termite or its habitat.
