MULTI-SERVER AND COMMUNICATION METHOD USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A multi-server and a communication method using the same are provided to enable one server to manage sub networks in an ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) network environment so as to improve network performance. CONSTITUTION: An LIS(Logical IP(Internet Protocol) Subnet) management unit(210) manages a table having information on each subnet, according to commands of a manager. A permanent table management unit(220) manages a permanent table for clients not having an address resolution function. And an ARP(Address Resolution Protocol) processing unit(230) interfaces with the LIS management unit(210) and the permanent table management unit(220), to perform an address resolution function with clients.
