PURPOSE: A steering wheel minimizes injury of a driver in case of an accident. CONSTITUTION: A steering wheel comprises a boss(14) fixed to a steering column and a rim(20) of a circular form connected to the boss(14) by medium of a spider(16). The spider(16) is divided into a boss side spider(22) and a rim side spider(24). A folder(50) is connected to this divided portion to make the spider(16) folded when applied with force more than a fixed size of force. The steering wheel becomes to be folded to the vertical direction with the folder(50) so as not to hit a driver by the chest and the abdomen, and the spider(16) absorbs shock in case of collision of a vehicle so as to minimize shock possibly applying to a driver.
