PURPOSE: A vehicle air conditioner is provided to reduce noise due to airflow by only placing a core in a body and to minimize capacity of an actuator by increasing intensity of wind. CONSTITUTION: An evaporator core(2) and a heater core(3) are installed in a body adjacent to each other. Guide members(8,9) symmetric to each other are installed on both inner faces of the body to support both sides. Operating units are installed in the evaporator core and the heater core to be selectively lifted up and down to be exposed outwardly. Upon turning on an external air inducing damper(5), the evaporator core and the heater core move downwardly with driving of actuators. Thus, circulation by a traveling wind becomes smooth. The core not corresponding to a selected mode is automatically lifted down to minimize interference in an airflow in the body. Thus, intensity of wind is increased while noise of air is reduced.
