PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize rapid opening/closing operation of a molding die and a powerful die clamping force only through a single drive source provided and thereby, reduce the number of parts used to miniaturize the entire device and at the same time, facilitate the control compared to a device of such a type that a plurality of drive sources need to be controlled, in a molding die clamping device comprising a movable platen 34 for mounting a movable part 33 which is linearly driven in the die clamping direction by means of a direct-acting mechanism supported by a frame. SOLUTION: A link toggle joint mechanism 60 is provided which has a point of force 61 connected to the output part of the direct-acting mechanism, a point of application 67 connected to the movable platen 34 and a fulcrum 63 positioned at an opposite side to the point of force 61 with the point of application 67 sandwiched in between. In a region where the fulcrum 63 moves, a recession preventing means 42 is provided which prevents the movable part 33 from moving to a spot behind the fulcrum 63 in the die clamping direction at a die clamping position where the movable part 33 is clamped. |
