DEVICE FOR DETECTING WATER QUALITY OF WASHING MACHINE

PURPOSE: A water quality detector of a washing machine is provided to improve the working efficiency and the stability of the washing machine. CONSTITUTION: A water quality detector contains a conductivity sensor(30); a temperature sensor(40); and a safety device to improve the operating safety of the conductivity sensor(30). The safety device comprises a pulse transformer(32) to feed a pulse signal from a microcomputer(14) to the conductivity sensor(30) through a transistor(15) and to amplify a voltage difference measured from the conductivity sensor(30); a voltage leveling unit(34) to remove pulsating components to be mixed with the pulse signal; a peak voltage control unit(36) to control a peak of the pulse signal. The sensors(30,40) are composed of a stainless steel or a copper.
