<p>An amusement or other park includes a radio frequency network having a plurality of long range and short range transceivers. The long range transceivers are geographically dispersed throughout the park. The short-range transceivers are located at transaction points within the park. The long-range transceivers are each operable to communicate with radio tags worn by persons in the park at long range. The short-range transceivers are each operable to communicate with radio tags at a short range. A park control system is coupled to the radio frequency network to receive from the long-range transceivers a long range response transmitted by a radio tag and to receive from the short-range transceivers a short range response transmitted by the radio tag and including a transaction having an identifier of the tag and an event associated with the tag. The park control system is operable to determine a location of the tag based on the long-range responses and to post a transaction to an account associated with the tag based on a financial transaction including the identifier of the tag and an amount.</p> |
