<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decomposition method for organic chlorine compounds which allows more environmentally friendly, cost effective, safe and stable decomposition at and under a high temperature and atmosphere pressure and does not require various intricate controls by accompanying the decomposition and a device used for the same. SOLUTION: The function water of 1 to 4 in hydrogen ion concentration (pH value), 800 to 1,500 mV in oxidation reduction potential (working electrode: platinum electrode, reference electrode: silver-silver chloride electrode) and 5 to 150 mg/l in chlorine concentration is brought into contact with ozone of in an amount of 10 to 200% of the amount of the organic chlorine compounds and the total organic chlorine compounds to be decomposed under irradiation with light of >=300 nm in wavelength and <=10 mW/cm2 in light intensity.</p> |
