PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the joint structure of a steel shell having excellent workability on a field in the construction of a large sectional tunnel. SOLUTION: In the joint structure of the steel shells for primary lining of a shield tunnel, a plurality of reinforcement inserting holes 15, into which reinforcements 17 are inserted, are installed to the joint plates 13 of the steel shells 10, the joint plates of both joined steel shells are clamped by a plurality of bolts 18 while the reinforcements in fixed length are inserted into the reinforcement inserting holes, and concrete 20 is placed to the steel shells and the steel shells are joined. Bearing plates 51 are fixed onto the reinforcements 17 in the joint structure of the steel shells.
