PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize revision of a configuration of a position registration area with respect to a mobile communication system, a mobile station, a base station, an exchange station and a position registration area revision control method. SOLUTION: The mobile communication system is provided with the exchange station 3 connected to a plurality of base stations 2 and a position management means such as a subscriber database 4 that registers a position of a mobile station 1 as position information of position registration areas AR1-ARn. The exchange station 3 or the like collects and analyzes dynamic traffic information of the mobile station 1. When the number of position request times exceeds a prescribed value, a moving destination position registration area of the mobile station 1 is integrated with a mobile source position registration area to suppress occurrence of new position registration requests and to restrict the position registration request by mobile stations having been in existence in the integrated position registration area accompanied by revision of position information.
