摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish an intermittent combustion technique which exhibits an effect of reducing nitrogen oxides while automatically keeping stability of combustion conditions, in a combustion device 1 in which periodical intermittent supply of at least one of the fluids, i.e., a fuel supplied to a combusting portion 5 and an oxygen containing gas, is performed, and ignition and quenching of the fuel are repeated in the combusting portion 5. SOLUTION: The combustion device 1 is constituted so that the supply frequency of at least one of the intermittently supplied fluids, or the supply duty ratio of at least one of the intermittently supplied fluids, can be set as an intermittent supply parameter value. In such a constitution, the combustion conditions at the combusting portion are detected, and on the basis of the detected combustion conditions, the intermittent supply parameter value is set to control the combustion conditions.
