PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording medium which shows outstanding texture fog resistance recording sensitivity and reliable recording part keeping properties and imparts the easy legibility of the recording part even when it is exposed to a higher temperature than a color developing temperature after dynamic recording by a pulsed applied energy using a thermal head. SOLUTION: This thermal recording medium has a thermal recording layer containing a leuco dye, a coloring agent and an adhesive, an intermediate layer composed mainly of the adhesive and a protecting layer composed mainly of a pigment and the adhesive sequentially formed on a support. In addition, the intermediate layer contains 20-80 wt.% acrylic resin as the adhesive to the total solid content of the intermediate layer and the protecting layer contains an amorphous silica. |
