PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for startup of a printing press which enables shortening of a startup stage and reduction of the amount of spoilage. SOLUTION: In order to let ink come quickly to a printing unit after a rubber blanket is cleaned, the rubber blanket is inked preliminarily by making it rotate once completely at least, while bringing it into contact with an inked printing plate, before printing is started. During the preliminary inking, the ink is already supplied to an inking arrangement of the printing press. The thickness of the ink in initial printing (curve 21) improved evidently in comparison with that by usual startup (curve 20) and evident reduction of time (curves 22 and 23) until a satisfactory thickness of the ink is obtained in a print are attained. |
