PURPOSE: To provide MnZn ferrite material having high saturation magnetic flux density and low loss at a mounting temperature of a core for, e.g. a transformer. CONSTITUTION: This ferrite contains iron oxide of 52.5-54.0 mol% of Fe2O3 conversion, zinc oxide of 7.7-10.8 mol% of ZnO conversion, and residual part composed of MnO, as the main components. The subcomponents are silicon oxide of 60-140 ppm of SiO2 conversion and calcium oxide of 350-700 ppm of CaO conversion. Further, nickel oxide of at most 4500 ppm (where O is not contained) of NiO conversion is cor'ztained.
