PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin-bonded magnet which is excellent in bond properties. SOLUTION: A resin-bonded magnet is composed of rare earth element- containing magnetic powder, one or more kinds of polyamide resin, and aliphatic acid or aliphatic acid compound or water, where the terminal amino group of polyamide resin is modified with carboxyl group-containing hydrocarbon. It is preferable that the carboxyl group-containing hydrocarbon is hydrocarbon which contains only one carboxyl group. The carboxyl group-containing hydrocarbon may be aliphatic acid resin, and it is preferable that the number of carbon atoms is 10 to 30. It is preferable that the residue of the modified terminal amino group is below 25 mol/kg. It is preferable that the number-average molecular weight of the polyamide resin whose terminal amino group is modified ranges from 5000 to 14,000. Nylon 12 or nylon 11 may serve as the polyamide resin. It is preferable that water of 0.03 wt.% or above is contained in the above resin-bonded magnet. |
