<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trace system without any interruption which receives trace information from one or more processors or from the other device. SOLUTION: A trace system 200 can be constituted by a user so as to be operated in various modes so that trace information is flexibly stored or transmitted. This trace system is provided with a memory-mapped FIFO 202 to which access can be performed without affecting processor performance. In one configuration, this trace system is provided with a trace buffer 227 for receiving trace information at the inside clock speed of the processor 102. In another configuration, a compression protocol is imparted so that the trace message on-chip can be compressed prior to the message transmission to an outside system 106 or to the storage of the message in the memory.</p> |
