PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a conventional problem in making an optical pickup device thinner, a problem caused by the arrangement in which an FPC, as a medium for transmitting an electric information signal to a body circuit board inside an optical disk device, is placed on the bottom of an optical base. SOLUTION: In a place where an actuator is located, an FPC 17 is arranged in a middle space between an actuator base 11 and an optical base 1. In addition, in a supporting part of an access sub-axis 4 in the optical base 1, a deflection regulator is abolished which is for controlling upward deflection of the subaxis 4 and, instead, a part of the FPC 17 is structured as such deflection regulator for the sub-axis 4. This structure makes it possible to fully secure an area for arranging the wiring existing in the FPC 17, thereby enabling the FPC 17 to be positioned on the upper face of the optical base 1.
