PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication method which lets more devices easily access a network. SOLUTION: In a communication network having plural client stations 108, the history of activity of each client station 108 is determined in response to attempt at polling from a base station 108. The polling frequency of the client station 108 is dynamically controlled on the basis of this history. A client station 108 which has the history of being active is polled with a maximum frequency in a polling cycle. A client station which has the history of being idle is polled with a reduced frequency. A client station which has the history of no response to polling is polled with a more reduced frequency in the next polling cycle. A client station which is made active is polled with a raised frequency, preferably, the maximum frequency. |
