The heating cushion is filled with a frozen watery sodium acetate solution (20) and a housing with elastic distortion within the solution. A metallic body within the housing has a separate screw threading structure with the housing as an injection molded plastics tubular shrouding bonded to the screw so that the solution (20) can penetrate to the screw configuration.
