The invention relates to a method for guaranteeing the correct exchange of data between several devices or components of a control system. A frequent problem when combining components made by different manufacturers with each other is that said devices or components use different semantics for exchanging data. According to the invention, the semantics are adapted by processing a semantics table, in order to guarantee correct data communication.
