PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display field angle converter that can automatically convert a field angle into a display field angle preferred by a user. SOLUTION: A microcomputer 4 detects a field angle of a received video signal. A field angle changeover circuit 6 selects a display field angle when a display device 7 displays the video signal. A user users an operation section 8 to manually adjust the display field angle. A nonvolatile memory 5 stores the field angle of the video signal before the adjustment by the operation section 8 and the display field angle after the adjustment in cross-reference with each other. When the field angle of the received video signal corresponds to the field angle stored in the nonvolatile memory 5, the display field angle of the video signal can automatically be adjusted to be the stored display field angle.
