ILLUMINATING LIGHT SOURCE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illuminating light source which can be reduced in cost and kept high in uniformity of color. SOLUTION: An illuminating light source is composed of a board 100, semiconductor light-emitting elements 200 and others mounted on the board 100. The board 100 is a printed wiring board, where a required circuit is provided and equipped with a base member 100a which contains a fluorescent substance that emits yellow light, when it is excited a light emitted from the semiconductor elements 200, and a wiring pattern conductor 100d is laminated on the necessary part of the top surface of the base member 100a. The semiconductor light- emitting elements 200 are each formed of gallium nitride compound semiconductor to serve as blue-light LED elements.
