PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an FD cartridge from being inserted wrongly into a disk drive device and to make the disk drive device small-sized and thin by devising the shape of the FD cartridge. SOLUTION: This FD cartridge 4, which has a flexible magnetic disk 7 built in rotatably and has a shutter 13 which is provided freely slidably, so as to open and close an insertion opening part 12 formed on a cartridge main body 11, and the shutter abuts against a shutter depression projection part 93 atop of a trigger arm 78 of the disk drive device when the FD cartridge is inserted into the disk drive device 1, and slides as the trigger arm 78 rotates by the insertion of the FD cartridge to open the head insertion opening part. At the rear edge of the FD cartridge, a wrong insertion preventing recessed part 19c is formed, which engages a shutter depression projection part of the trigger arm when the FD cartridge is inserted wrongly into the disk drive device.
